Our policy at Just Trees is to donate 1 tree for every 20 trees we sell.* We support various projects and are open to requests from legitimate charitable or needy organizations in need of trees. Our flagship project for 2009/2010 is the Clanwilliam Cedar Restoration Project. We are growing Clanwilliam Cedars for CapeNature and planting out into the Cederberg Mountains. Zwelihle Community Greening Project
Just Trees donated 200 small trees to the Zwelihle Community Greening Project.
The project was up for an environmental award and is getting much deserved recognition.
The iKamva Letu Zwelihle (Our Future Zwelihle) community-based project and the Going Green project are good examples of an Eco-Community at work.
The iKamva Letu Zwelihle project has the objective of providing opportunities for the Zwelihle Community to improve its environment through small interventions within themselves that address health and hygiene, resource use, improvement of the natural & built environment and reaffirmation of heritage and culture. St Joseph's Marist College
Just Trees donated 10 x 10L Olea europaea subsp. africana "Wild Olive" trees to St Joseph's Marist College. These trees were planted on their campus at their tree planting ceremony on 9 September 2011.

Table Mountain National Park
In the months of May and June, a total of 600 ready-grown indigenous trees donated by Just Trees nursery in Paarl will be planted in Tokai Park, part of the Cape’s magnificent Table Mountain National Park and an offshoot of South African National Parks’ shade tree planting project.
Forming part of SANPark’s greater vision for the rehabilitation and recreational use of areas previously shaded by pine trees, the project aims to provide much-needed shade to the much-loved Lower Tokai recreational route which – on any given day – is enjoyed by Capetonian joggers, dog walkers, cyclists and horse riders alike.

WESSA and CAP 10/10/10 Global Work Party!
The 10/10/10 Global work party is an international day of climate change action where small groups of ordinary citizens showed their leaders how it’s done – implementing solutions to the climate crisis, from solar panels to community gardens, wind turbines to bicycle workshops.

ENZA Skills Center
During the weekend of 11 to 12 September 2010, at a Volunteer Makeover Weekend for the Enza project, Just Trees donated trees and soil for the vegetable gardens. Over 100 volunteers from the Drakenstein and Franschoek as well as greater Cape Town area worked to complete the finishings and the garden for the Skills Centre. Click here for more info. Green Communities Arbor Day
We donated 50 trees to Green Communities who distributed them to 3 schools in Wesbank, Delft as well as 5 schools and 2 educare centres in Samora Machel, Philippi.
Learners from the schools in Wesbank, Delft were thoroughly excited to be a part of the Arbor event and learnt quite a bit about the significance of keeping our environment healthy and green. With the assistance of the learners and a few staff members, we planted 5 trees at each school and conducted an information session pertaining to ‘Trees of the Year’ and ‘How to plant a tree and nurture its growth’. Wellington Cricket Club
In June this year, Bruce Stewart spent some time with the management at Wellington Cricket Club to come up with a list of trees that would be both functional and aesthetic. Thirty eight trees were donated by Just Trees and were planted by the Drakenstein Municipality. Clanwilliam Cedar Planting Day
On Saturday 5th June 2010, 240 Clanwilliam Cedar tree saplings were replanted into their natural environment – high up in the mountainous crevices and cracks of the Cedarberg Mountains – in an effort to help save this highly endangered conifer species, endemic to the Cedarberg and after which the area was named. Just Trees donated R40,000-00 worth on indigenous Ficus Sur trees to the Monte Christo Ministries sports project in Paarl. The mission of MCM sport is to provide quality coaching, sports programmes and facilities for young men and women as a tool to help them make the best physical, mental and spiritual life choices in order to realize their fullest potential.
