We're very happy to announce that the Just Trees Award for the Best use of Trees in a Landscape Design was awarded to Insite Landscape Architects for the Sasol Head Office project. The announcement was made at the 2017 Corobrik-ILASA Awards of Excellence on 15 September 2017.

Arguably the most impressive and ambitious commercial building project undertaken in South Africa in the last 10 years, the new Sasol building is a testament to the vision and skill of the entire professional team appointed to this iconic structure.

Attracting different species of birds and butterflies different biomes were introduced around the building footprint as you walk around. Each biome has specific species of plants that attract birds and butterflies. You experience a definite change in landscape character as well as the species of birds and butterflies that occur in that specific biome.

This landscape design will be referred to, spoken about and visited for years to come. It is truly a benchmark in the South African context and a project to be proud of.

Just Trees was fortunate to deliver the following trees for this project: Erythrina lysistemon 1000L, 200L & 100L, Podocarpus falcatus 1000L, 200L & 100L, Celtis africana 1000L, 400L, 200L & 100L, Acacia galpinii 1000L, 400L, 200L & 100L , Acacia xanthophloea 1000L, Combretum erythrophyllum 400L, 200L & 100L.
